Vision and Brain Injury/Concussion
Scientists estimate that 60% of our brain is involve with vision, so it is easy to understand that when there is an injury to the brain, there is a great possibility that visual function will be affected. Indeed, that is what we find; 72% of individuals with a brain injury (including mild brain injury or concussion) have vision deficits.
These deficits can range from eye coordination difficulties, double vision, blurred vision, light sensitivity, visual motion sensitivity, to visual memory difficulties.
